We visited his Georgetown digs (Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa, 1519 Wisconsin Ave) to see the man celebs visit when they're in DC.
Erwin in the salon's $16,000 Takara Belmont chair. It reclines, messages, and whispers how beautiful you look into your ear (although that might be Erwin). Parts of the salon look more like an upscale electronics boutique than a beauty parlor: Mac laptops are available to customers if they want to play Ms. Pac Man while getting waxed.

You don't get assigned a stylist when scheduling a hair appointment; you come in and interview each member of the team to find out who best matches your style. Think of it like hiring a new employee, except all the applicants have fabulous hair.
Inside Erwin's top secret cold fission manicure facility. Actually, this is the sectioned-off spa room with calming mood lighting. Clients receive full body messages while the sound system plays music so soothing it makes Enya sound like death metal.
If getting massages in chairs that cost more than a Hyundai isn't relaxing enough, you can lounge in the salon's Asian-themed backyard. Sip on a mojito (well, not everything's Asian) and listen to the waterfall as your nails dry. If you can afford it, there aren't too many places in DC that will let you be so lazy yet make you look so good.
